When describing an individual as an independent, self-secure person who does not fit the conventional social hierarchies, people refer to the individual as a sigma. What does sigma slang mean? It is about a type of person living according to his/her own rules but not obeying conventional norms in pop culture. It could be applied seriously or as a game on-line. It may be a compliment or a joke, but in any case, it underlines the strong individuality and the lone wolf feeling of a person.
