Biologists of the Uzhgorod National University in
cooperation with Slovak colleagues are implementing
the project "Environment for the future through scientific education"
The other day in Košice, the partners summed up the results of methodological work and analyzed the first scientific monitoring studies of water resources in the border regions of Ukraine and Slovakia
Recently, scientists of the Uzhhorod National University - Yaroslava Hasynets, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, and Professor Maryna Kryvtsova - visited the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, where a working meeting of partners of the project "Environment for the future through scientific education", which is implemented in cooperation with Slovak colleagues, took place.
The meeting turned out to be productive both from an organizational and scientific point of view. The partners summed up the results of the methodical work and analyzed the first scientific monitoring studies of water resources in the border regions of Ukraine and Slovakia. After all, the topic of water quality, its sanitary condition and water ecosystems in the conditions of war and mass migration of the population of Ukraine is becoming especially relevant.
Representatives of UzhNU also visited scientific laboratories of microbiology, cell biology, and molecular biology at the University of Kosice.
During the discussion of the results, fresh ideas for expanding cooperation and new scientific areas of cooperation emerged.
