Krivoshtyansky bridge
Description of the Location
The location is approximately 800 m east of the town of Strážske, near the river Laborec, behind the bridge leading to the village of Krivošťany. The river channel has been regulated, with a width of about 40 m. The water level below the bridge with a dam is approximately 1 – 1.5 m high, to divert most of the water for a nearby small hydroelectric power plant. The riverbed is rocky, and in the backwaters with slow water, fine sediments accumulate. The riverbanks are covered with a row of willows and understory grass vegetation.
