POD PREFOU
The location where the Strážský stream (Chemko canal) flows into the Laborec is locally called "Prefa" by the residents. In the hydrogeological map available on the map portal of the Slovak Water Management Enterprise, the name "Pod orechmi" (Under the nuts) is indicated. The selected site, which is approximately 200 meters downstream from the confluence of the Strážský stream, is named "Pod Prefou." The Laborec is bordered on the right side by a relatively extensive strip of riparian forest at this location. The gravel bottom and unregulated channel, with a shallow grassy bank, separate the riparian forest, where occasional fresh gnawing marks from beavers can be observed.
