Anyone else feel like "thought leadership" has become a meaningless buzzword?

I've been trying to write more to establish myself as an expert in my field, following the classic advice. But lately, every time I sit down to write a thought leadership article , it just feels... fake. It's like I'm just rephrasing common knowledge and adding a fancy headline.

I'm not trying to sell anything; I genuinely want to share useful insights. But the whole concept now feels so overdone and inauthentic.

Has anyone else struggled with this? How do you push past the buzzword and write something that actually provides value and starts a real conversation? What makes you actually want to read an article from someone these days?

For context, I was looking for some data on professional networking trends and found a site that had some interesting stats, which you can see here. It got me thinking about who is even online consuming this content in the first place.
