If you regularly drive through Big or Little Cottonwood Canyon, or even Parleys, you know how common loose rocks, tree branches, or even chunks of ice can be, especially during spring runoff or windy fall days. I’ve had a couple of close calls myself, and recently had to file a claim after a rock cracked my windshield on SR-190.
The claim process wasn’t too bad, but it did make me curious—how does everyone’s provider handle these kinds of minor-but-expensive incidents? Do they ding you with higher premiums later, or is it usually covered under comprehensive?
Also, if anyone has recommendations for solid

drivers can count on for these types of claims, drop them below. I’m considering switching if my current provider gives me grief over this one.
Would love to hear others’ canyon driving and claim experiences—feel like we all deal with this more than folks in flatter areas!
