Project teams from Pavol Jozef Šafarik University in Košice, Uzhhorod National University and Institute of Development Carpathian Region shared the results of the project implementation in Slovakia and Ukraine, summed up the bilateral cooperation and expressed willingness to spread EFFUSE idea further, as there was positive feedback from the participating schools on the implemented project activities.
The main results of the project is created virtual laboratory for schools and public with set of educational materials focused on scientific education about environmental and ecological problems. Virtual laboratory is result of cooperation university scientists with teachers and pupils in the field work. Development of environmental literacy at young generation is key to keep the nature in the sustainable conditions for the future use. Among other project outputs there was presented newly created eco-film “Ukrainian Carpathians – Nature Under Threat” which is available on virtual laboratory EFFUSE. The educational fim was created by experts from Institute of Development of Carpathian Region.
The conference was attended by more than 40 participants including Mayor of the City Ward Košice – Sever and representatives of Nongovernment organizations active in the ecological and environmental issues.
